When it comes to cruiser bikes, there are a few different brands that always seem to come up. Among those is Sixthreezero, which offers two different models: the EVRYjourney and the Around The Block. These bikes are the best in the market and provide a comfortable and fast riding experience.
The EVRYjourny and ATB have plenty of similarities and are equally popular amongst the masses. However, they have some minor differences that might go unnoticed by the untrained eye. To help you pick between the two, we’ve compared some of their features and specifications.
Comparing the frame and design
Unlike men’s bikes, these versions come with attractive designs and bright colors. When it comes to women’s bikes, the look is sometimes more important than the feel. That’s why Sixthreezero makes sure to appease you with a wide range of beautiful colors and textures. This is something you won’t find in the men’s bikes, which mostly come in the grungiest of blacks.
The sixthreezero EVRYjourney comes with a strong aluminum frame which guarantees the bike’s long lifespan. Take a seat on this bike, and you’ll know this is a powerful machine that can handle your weight. This hybrid bike is a showstopper when it comes to look and design. The slender and pretty design will leave everyone gawking as you ride through the streets.
Talking about color, the EVRYjourney has plenty of options to pick from, and they all look great. You could go for the generic black or dark blue, which shows that you mean business. However, if you’re looking for something brighter and more energetic, go for the pastel colors. Our personal favorite is the sky blue version, which gives a poppy and vibrant look.
The sixthreezero Around The Block comes with a steel frame, which means this bike can take a few tumbles. The steel frame gives the ATB extra protection, which is advantageous when riding through rough terrain. So it definitely has the edge over the EVRYjourney when it comes to sturdiness.
The ATB presents a slightly muscular design compared to the EVRYjourney. The bike is still lean and thin, but it has a touch of muscle here and there. We love the elongated rear, which protects the rider from any oncoming vehicles behind. You will be glad to know that it comes with a range of colors to represent your bubbly persona. Our favorite is the white frame with the wood-brown colored wheels, a great look!
Comparing the Speed
The EVRYjourney and the ATB come with plenty of gear options for you to choose from. Both models have single, three, seven, and twenty-one-speed options, so take your pick!
The single and three-speed models are great for riding around the neighborhood on breezy afternoons. However, if you’re looking for something for long-distance travel, you’ll have to take it up a notch. The seven and twenty-one-speed options will get you where you need to go. Whether you’re riding to the store, along a straight road, or even up a hill, Sixthreezero bikes will not disappoint.
Both the EVRYjourney and ATB excel when it comes to speed, but don’t you want to know which one goes faster? You have to dig deeper than the gear systems to answer that question. You see, the gears only tell us how fast the bike can go in general; it doesn’t tell us which model is faster. To find out the answer, we have to look at something else.
How fast each bike goes depends on how much power you generate while paddling. To understand this better, we have to look at the type of peddling you have to do for each bike. With the EVRYjourney, you’ll be peddling forward rather than downward. This generates less power when compared to the ATB, thus, making it slower.
On the other hand, Around the block functions using downward paddles. By that, we mean you’ll be peddling straight down, underneath your hips. This small difference gives the ATB a slight advantage over the EVERYjourney. When it comes to speed and power, around the block definitely takes the win here.
We aren’t saying that the EVRYjourney is slow; it’s definitely a speedy and reliable bike to ride in. However, you will find climbing hills and slopes a little challenging with the EVRYjourney. It can definitely get the job done, no questions there, but the ATB does the job better.
Comparing the Comfort factor
Now let’s come to one of the most important aspects of any bike; How comfortable are they? To make things simple, we’re going to look at the seating position of each bike.
The seat tube of the EVRYjourney is slightly angled to provide more comfort while riding. While driving this bike, you will notice that the seat places your hips forward. This makes you more relaxed while riding and prevents your back from straining.
The ATB has a typical upward seating structure, so you’ll be seated upright the whole time. While this is not a disadvantage, people who aren’t used to it might get tired after a while. Keeping your back arched for long periods of time can increase the chances of back strains. After all, no matter how unattractive it looks, we all love slouching!
So to round things off, The EVRYjourney is the pick for you if you want comfort over speed. It’s a great model to cycle around straight and long roads but can be challenging when it comes to uphills. It doesn’t go as fast as the ATB, but it’s definitely comfier and gives you a relaxing ride. The ATB is the better choice if you live in a hilly or slopey region with plenty of up-climbs. You might have to get used to the seating position, but it shouldn’t be a problem.
Comparing the Wheels
The quality and size of the wheels are other important factors to look out for here. The look of the wheel also matters when choosing any bike. You want wheels that tell you it’s safe to cycle up a hill or on rocky and rugged terrain. So apart from actually being strong, the wheels must also make you, the rider, feel strong.
Always check what the wheels look like. See how they are shaped and whether or not there are any extra paddings attached. The fatter and wider the wheels, the more empowered you feel while riding.
On the other hand, be sure to take a moment to appreciate the wheel design and look. Both the EVRYjourny and ATB have beautifully crafted wheels that sweeten the eye. It’s amazing how something that looks so pretty can pack such an effective kick.
Looking at the EVRYjourney, we notice that the wheels are quite dashing. You know you can take this bad beast through anything, and you’ll look great while doing it. What’s more, the intricate design of the wheels makes washing it much more enjoyable. The wheels come at 26 inches, with 2-inch semi-slick tires to provide extra stability. We love looking at them, and they work great!
On the other hand, Around the block is equipped with 26-inch wheels and 2-inch waffle tread tires. We’re glad to say that the wheels look beautiful but sturdy at the same time. Not to mention, they give great support while riding through rugged pathways. The wheels of the ATB ensure that you don’t slip or slide along sandy patches. This makes the ATB a lighter version of a mountain bike.
We have found that both cruiser bikes are strong and speedy while having incredible stability and comfort. There aren’t any major differences between the two besides power and ease of use.
The Around the block is definitely the stronger and faster one between the two. Its efficient peddling system ensures good pickup and incredible speeds. It’s ideal for hilly regions where you can ride off into the woods without a hassle. However, you will need to have some level of skill when it comes to cycling. Also, the upright riding position can be a difficult adjustment to get used to.
The EVRYjourney, on the other hand, is something you should get for relaxing and breezy rides. If you’re planning on riding on the city streets and alleyways, this is the bike for you. EVRYjourney gives you a calm and fun ride around town with incredible ease and comfort.
